Worth it or not
Public hospitals, a private international hospital, medical centres and laboratories publish prices for MRI, CT, bone density, ultrasound and endoscopy. Everything compared is cheaper than at home, most of all colonoscopy and gastroscopy, ultrasound and bone density, at a fraction of the Dutch price; CT and MRI with contrast come closest. Da Nang prints a lower price for most of the scans both cities price.
Read which tier a row is. Bệnh viện Nguyễn Tri Phương publishes a state tariff and a separate, higher on-request list, while Bệnh viện Nhân dân Gia Định publishes an on-request list, so check which one a row comes from. A contrast agent may be billed on top of an MRI, and sedation or anaesthesia, a biopsy and a polyp removal are separate rows, the last from a starting price. Several lists are older than the rest, so read the date in each row. Flight, hotel and any follow-up are yours to add.
