Hearing tests, hearing aids, ear moulds, custom ear plugs and ear wax removal, priced at hearing centres and clinics that publish their own rates. The large ticket is the hearing aid itself, and it is the one item where the same device can be compared across countries: the Phonak Audéo rows name the model and the technology level, so a level 90 aid abroad is set against a level 90 aid at home, never against a cheaper tier.

What the comparison leaves out matters more here than elsewhere. A hearing aid needs fitting, follow-up adjustments and repairs, and a device bought abroad is serviced abroad unless a centre at home agrees to take it on. At home most people pay less than the list price because insurance or a public scheme pays part; this page shows what a person pays without that help, as the seller prints it. Prices are per device, for one ear. Tests and moulds are cheap almost everywhere and rarely worth a trip on their own; they are here because they come with the aid.
