Glasses, contact lenses, eye examinations and laser eye surgery. An eye test is the extreme case: opticians in Da Nang measure for free or for the price of a coffee, where a Dutch examination is billed as care. Complete glasses with brand lenses and a coating, and laser surgery per eye, land in the same wide band. The narrowest item is prescription sunglasses, where the frame is a fashion product priced much the same everywhere.
Compare like with like before booking: the lens brand, the index and the coating decide most of the price, and the item names carry that detail. Laser surgery is the one thing here with real aftercare, and the checks in the weeks after happen wherever the patient is.
