De moeite waard of niet

Leerwarenwinkels, maatkleermakers voor mannen, een bruidsatelier, een schoenenzaak voor internationale merken en een kledingvermaker, verspreid over Đống Đa, Hai Bà Trưng, Hoàng Mai, Hoàn Kiếm en Long Biên. Leren tassen, riemen en portemonnees, een trouwjurk op maat, een smoking en eenvoudig vermaakwerk kosten een fractie van de Nederlandse prijs. Bij een maatpak is de besparing kleiner, bij een linnen overhemd zit Nederland dichtbij, en Birkenstock-sandalen bij een Hanoise doorverkoper kosten meer dan thuis.

Lees de regel, niet alleen de prijs. Sommige leerwinkels tonen een actieprijs naast de lijstprijs, dus je betaalt mogelijk minder, en een tas uit een webshop is geen tas op maat: let op welk leer en welke maat erbij staat. Op de pakkenpagina’s staat geen stofkwaliteit en de pagina’s van de winkel spreken elkaar tegen over de btw, de prijs van een trouwjurk is een vanafprijs en de prijs voor vermaakwerk komt uit een oude lijst. Wat de maatprijzen precies dekken staat er niet bij, dus vraag naar de pasbeurten. De reis zit er nergens in.
