De moeite waard of niet

In Boedapest hebben oorsmeer verwijderen, een gehoortest en tympanometrie een prijs bij particuliere klinieken en kno-praktijken (Óbuda, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor, Rózsadomb Center) en bij hoorcentrum Amplifon Budapest Déli. Oorstukjes op maat en zwem- of geluidsoordoppen komen van Fülvédelem.hu, dat afdrukken neemt aan de Maros utca, en zijn veel goedkoper dan thuis. Bij de gehoortest scheelt het minder, en een kliniek zit ongeveer op de Nederlandse particuliere prijs. Oorsmeer laten verwijderen is thuis gratis, dus een tarief in Boedapest levert niets op, en voor tympanometrie is er geen Nederlandse prijs om mee te vergelijken. Voor hoortoestellen publiceert geen enkele aanbieder een prijs; daarvoor heb je een offerte nodig.

Sommige bedragen zijn vanaf- of richtprijzen, en de lijst van een kliniek zegt dat eerst een consult bij een specialist nodig is, dat niet is inbegrepen. Bij oorsmeer lopen prijzen per oor en per bezoek door elkaar, en een kliniek rekent een volledig onderzoek in plaats van het spoelen als de arts dat nodig vindt.
