De moeite waard of niet
Publieke ziekenhuizen, een particulier internationaal ziekenhuis, medische centra en laboratoria publiceren prijzen voor MRI, CT, botdichtheid, echo en endoscopie. Alles wat is vergeleken is goedkoper dan thuis, vooral darm- en maagspiegeling, echo en botdichtheid, tegen een fractie van de Nederlandse prijs; CT en MRI met contrast komen het dichtst bij. Da Nang noemt voor de meeste scans die beide steden prijzen een lagere prijs.
Kijk per regel om welk tarief het gaat. Bệnh viện Nguyễn Tri Phương publiceert een staatstarief en een aparte, hogere lijst op verzoek, terwijl Bệnh viện Nhân dân Gia Định een lijst op verzoek publiceert, dus controleer uit welke lijst een regel komt. Contrastmiddel kan bij een MRI apart in rekening worden gebracht, en sedatie of narcose, een biopt en het verwijderen van een poliep staan op aparte regels, de laatste met een vanafprijs. Meerdere lijsten zijn ouder dan de rest, dus lees de datum per regel. Vlucht, hotel en een eventueel vervolgbezoek reken je er zelf bij.
