## Worth it or not

Travel and routine vaccines from sellers that print a price per dose: the national hygiene institute's vaccination centre on Lò Đúc, the chains VNVC (Cát Linh) and Long Châu (Thái Hà) and a family doctor centre. Nearly everything compared is cheaper than in the Netherlands, most of all Japanese encephalitis, hepatitis B, rabies and typhoid. The gap narrows on HPV, shingles and MenQuadfi, which are dear in Hanoi too. For the same vaccine the sellers mostly sit close together, so check what each centre has in stock.

Prices are per dose, so a course, rabies for instance, is the row price times the doses you need. Each row names the product (Verorab, Typhim Vi, Boostrix), and a different brand is a different row. VNVC prints a lower walk-in price beside a higher price for reserving ahead, and the chains publish the same list for all their centres, so confirm stock with the centre. Check the date beside each row: Long Châu marks its list as a reference that can change.
